About the Alfa Romeo Spider
The Alfa Spider is well known for distinctive, stylish looks. The soft-top roadster features an automatically folding electric canvas roof.
The Spider comes with three engines; two petrol and one diesel. The 3.2-litre V6, introduced in 2003, is Alfa’s most powerful engine. The V6 has a top speed of 155mph and does 0-62 in seven seconds.
Unlike the GTV, the Alfa drop-top is a two-seater with a load area of 200 litres, up 36 per cent from the outgoing model.
Standard specification offers automatic Dual Zone climate control, cruise control, Follow-Me-Home headlights, rear parking sensors, a multi-function display and trip computer, fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels and an RDS 6-speaker stereo radio with CD player. A leather interior is standard on 3.2-litre V6 versions.
Optional equipment includes xenon headlights, satellite navigation, electrically adjustable front seats, a Bose sound system, Blue&Me hands-free mobile phone connectivity and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Prices start at £25,995 for the 2.2-litre JTS diesel and rise to £32,700 for the V6, complete with QTRONIC automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive. A diesel 2.4-litre model is available from £28,803.
